Museum of the American Revolution

The Museum of the American Revolution is an excellent place to learn about the Constitution. It features excellent permanent exhibits and an interactive tour. The Museum of the American Revolution located at 101 S 3rd St, Philadelphia, PA 19106  ties the city’s historic landmarks together with artifacts, life-size tableaux, videos and interactive installations. The museum is spread over four floors. It includes exhibits on the life and times of the founding fathers and the revolution. For families, a trip to the National Constitution Center may also include a visit to Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and the U.S. Mint.

The Museum of the American Revolution Philadelphia PA opened in April 2017. The museum has a unique collection of artifacts and stories about the American Revolution. Designed to provide visitors with an engaging experience, it explores America’s founding and shares the stories of diverse people and complex events. While visiting the Museum of the American Revolution, visitors can visit the Betsy Ross House. This historic site is home to the woman who sewed the first American flag. Although the location of the building is disputed, the museum is well worth a visit. While the house is open to the public, visitors are encouraged to purchase tickets so they can get a good view of the interior. Afterward, visitors can enjoy the courtyard and the gift shop.

The battles of Lexington and Concord were fought in the Pennsylvania countryside, but this was not the only important battle in the Revolution. The Battle of Germantown was fought 300 miles south of the original battle sites. The city was the center of the United States Government for the first ten years of the country. In fact, it was the site of the signing and drafting of the United States Constitution. The Revolutionary War was born in Philadelphia.

The Liberty Bell Center is another great place to visit while in Philadelphia. This is located at 526 Market Street and is free. The center is open 9am-5pm. The famous Liberty Bell once rang in the Independence Hall tower until 1751. The Liberty Bell is known for its prominent crack. It is unclear when it began cracking. It was installed as part of the Washington-Rochambeau Revolutionary Route National Historic Trail.
